Capital Funds Campaign at Beverly UMC
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.
~Jeremiah 29:11 |

Dear Church Family,
We here at Beverly UMC are grateful for your love and support of the ministry and mission of the church. With your prayers, presence and gifts, you have shown your commitment to ensuring that Beverly UMC will continue to build faithful disciples of Jesus Christ and touch the lives of those who are vulnerable in our church and community. You and your family have celebrated many rites of passage through the sacraments in our worship space. Some have professed their love in lifetime commitment there, or buried a loved one. Some of us have been transformed forever by our experiences there. Our parish has been a gathering place of prayer and worship for over 150 years and we celebrate that heritage.
With the joy of uplifting worship, engaged mission and transformational ministry comes the responsibility to envision a future for our next generation. In the book of Jeremiah, Chapter 29, Verse 11, God declares God’s plan for his people to prosper. As your pastor, and with the prayerful and enthusiastic approval of the Church Council, I welcome the opportunity to invite you to invest in a three-year capital campaign entitled, “Creating a Better Tomorrow for Beverly UMC”. This capital campaign will help to ensure the ongoing maintenance of our church worship space. As anyone who owns property knows, ongoing maintenance is a way of life. The funds from the capital campaign will help us get a new roof and install the new fire alarm system required by our fire department. Please know that it is your generous support that will allow us to meet these needs. On June 6th, 2021, we will conduct inaugural worship service to begin the capital campaign. At this worship, we will share with you our hopes for Beverly UMC as we journey into the future. After the service, we will encourage the congregation to engage in a ceremonial walk around the church to commit its support to this capital campaign. If you feel uncomfortable attending the indoor worship service, please join us outdoors at 11 am for our walk outside the church as we start our capital Campaign. Your presence is deeply appreciated. Refreshments will be served.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Pastor Anna
