Meals of Love Christmas Project 2022
It’s that time of year again, when our Meals of Love team is looking for Santa’s helpers to participate in our annual Christmas project.
We are running the program just as we did last year. Parents will be asked to create a ‘wish list’ that includes gifts their children would love to receive from Santa. There will be two or three ideas included on the list and no item may cost more than $40. If you would like to be one of Santa's helpers and sponsor a child, simply e-mail [email protected] by October 1st. Provide your name, e-mail address, and phone number. (It is very important we get responses by October 1st so we can establish the number of children we are able to accept in the program.) In October, enrollment opens and parents can then sign their children up. We ask that they create a wish list that includes two or three gift ideas, with no item costing more than $40. The first week in November, we will provide you with the age, gender, and wish list of a child (no names are used to protect the privacy of the family). You may choose to purchase as many gifts on the wish list as your budget allows but not to exceed the $40 maximum set for the project. We are asking that unwrapped gifts be dropped off at the Beverly United Methodist Church (dates and times to be provided in a follow up e-mail). If you would like to participate in the program but are not comfortable with going out to purchase gifts, we are also accepting monetary donations. The Meals of Love team would be happy to shop on your behalf. Our goal is to gather enough of Santa’s helpers to make the Christmas wishes of at least 100 children come true. We are hoping we can count on you to make this happen Thank you for your consideration and please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have Tracy Umstead Meals of Love Team Member Toy Drive Coordinator |
