Scout Troop 19 collects 300+ bags of food for the local community each November.

On the Third Monday of each month, the dining hall of the Beverly United Methodist Church overflows with joy as many volunteers from all over come to distribute a hot meal and groceries with the love of Jesus.
Dinner guests from Edgewater Park, Beverly and other surrounding communities enjoy a time of music, opportunity for prayer, in addition to a home-cooked meal with great table talk and fellowship.
Through this ministry, Loaves of Love Bread Ministry was birthed and many other churches, nonprofits and people are now receiving bread.
If you are interested in participating, volunteering or donating goods or financial assistance to Meals of Love, please call Beverly United Methodist Church at 609-387-2776.

THE BEGINNING
The scourge of hunger lingers in plain sight and never seems to go away. Many people don't like to think about our hungry neighbors who are struggling every day. With this in mind, in September of 2011 God called Beverly United Methodist to a new ministry called “Meals of Love” (MOL). This food ministry provides to members of our community and surrounding areas, a complimentary meal,as well as groceries, toiletries and other essential items as they become available through donations by supporters.
The Methodist Conference assisted with its early start-up costs by awarding Beverly Methodist Church a Community Outreach Grant. However, as the ministry grows, so does the need.

WAYS TO HELP
Meals of Love is supported totally by in-kind and monetary donations and volunteers.
Donations are received from our church family as well as from individuals, organizations and other churches within and outside of the community.
All different types of volunteer help is needed to make Meals of Love happen: from set up the Saturday before, packing groceries, to serving on the day of the meal. No effort to small!
